Reading Notes: Week 11, B

The King's White Elephant by Ellen C. Babbitt

There was an elephant who crossed paths with some carpenters and was injured on one foot.
The carpenters saw the injury and quickly decided to treat it with their best care
Once the elephant was treated, it decided to pay-it-forward and help them with their workloads

The elephant helped in all the ways it could and eventually the time came around where it had a baby
The baby was a white elephant who was destined to follow the same path as its mother
Once the white elephant was capable of helping, it began to take over the workload the mother had been doing

A king crossed paths with the white elephant and paid the carpenters for it
Once the king had possession of the elephant, he continued to treat it well and care for it
